Saturday October 22nd Vender List
This Saturday two of our vendors -neighbors at the market- John Rizzi and Royale Hare’s Karen Embry will be demonstrating spinning. Not on a bike. Karen’s beautiful hand dyed yarns are well known but you probably didn’t now she is also an inventor and has improved a spindle that is now the gold standard for spinners.
Also Jim and Dave are back! The best chestnuts ever. They are only at the market as long as they have chestnuts — they don’t last long.

Saturday October 5

Summer is slowly leaving town still lots of tomatoes , cucumbers and green beans. But fall is here. That means chestnuts and chanterelles — Jim and Dave are back.

There is a new fish monger in town Freshways Wild Fish – right now they have salmon, halibut, dungeness crab, shrimp, and black cod.    Always wild caught.

Chef Jennifer Una is cooking up some dishes from the market. It’s always a great place to hang around a taste.

Rosso Pizza after a busy summer of special events is back.  It is true that Chef John Franchetti is the one who starts building the fire at 6:30 AM so when you get to the market – your breakfast pizza is ready.   Rosso also sells pizza dough and their house-made mozzarella.

Twin Peaks is back with their fabulous amagaki persimmons .

Branch and Brine locally cured olives.  Last year they sold out in a flash you don’t want to miss this.

The chestnut guys : Jim and Dave are back,  chestnuts in three sizes, quince and now that it has rained –chanterelles.

There is always something new at the market especially when the seasons are changing.

Alma’s Oil Cloth and Chucharias is having a sale on Day of the Dead decorations.

Of course there are pumpkins all sizes shapes and colors everywhere at the market

Gandalf’s Fine Chocolates has creepy( in a good way) chocolate skulls but also some things for trick or treaters…well trick or treaters you like a lot.

Twin Palms Ranch is now at the Saturday market.

Jim and Dave (Sonoma Coast Organics) – the chestnut guys are back for their very short season.  They also have quince and chanterelles -if there are any.

It’s an exciting time at the market as it finally becomes fall and the market is full of peppers, pears, pomegranates, apples and all the fall greens and vegetables.  But there are a still signs that summer isn’t completely gone.  Min Hee Garden, The Patch and Armstrong Valley Farm still have tomatoes.  Min Hee also has cucumbers and they always have beautiful lettuce.   Depending on the micro-climate a few farmers still have berries.
