Saturday May 5th: a great day for kids at the market fun free things to do!

Saturday May 5 is a great day for kids at the market.  Lots of free fun things happening.

In honor of Earth Day, (can’t celebrate Earth Day too much in our book) the Santa Rosa Farmers Market will be holding a celebration especially geared towards kids. The Forestville 4-H club will be bringing their animals they have been raising, along with displays that exhibit what they have been doing in 4-H.   There will be a composting demonstration. Questions, concerns — get the dirt on good dirt — dyi –dirt.

Going to the Farmers Market, what better way to celebrate the bounty of the earth?

This Saturday is also the last of the series of gardening classes with Susan Nystrom.    The topic is  Children’s Gardens.  Every budding gardener gets a pumpkin plant to take home.    A large number of seed packets were donated for the seed swap and those will be available as  well.
