Nancy is the “Hummus Guy” at the Wednesday market. The market is smaller and vendors have time to talk to you about their products. It’s a great time to taste. Nancy is happy to help you find the perfect hummus for your taste. The Hummus Guy has flavored hummus including a silky tasting artichoke and a harisa that will really wake-up your taste buds.

The photo was taken by Charlotte Quick-Paris, a regular Wednesday shopper.

The Tomato Tasting is September 26th during regular market hours. Volunteers work setting up, slicing tomatoes and assisting the chefs. Please email foodandfarm@hotmail.com if you are interested.

There are four shifts. Of course we would love you to volunteer for the whole morning but if you can’t, pick the shift that works best for you. There are two shifts for the tasting, one is from 8:30 to 10:30 and the second is from 10:30 to noon. Then there is the preparation prior to the tasting probably starting at 7 or 7:30 and clean up after the event, noon to about 1pm.

The words and photos of Wednesday market regular Charlotte Quick-Paris “I come most Senior Days, and love not only what is sold but just the beauty of being out in the sunshine, seeing the gorgeous colors of the produce, and buying fresh items from the most helpful vendors. Once in a while I just have to bring my camera to capture it all.”
